The new Aeroporto Bologna General Aviation Terminal (TAG) consists of a cutting-edge two-storey terminal building with 1,100sqm of space per floor and a 2,400sqm hangar to provide space and services to those who use private jets and helicopters. Construction of the TAG was prompted by the double-digit increase in international business aviation traffic through Bologna, with 5,500 flights per year. The target, once fully operational, is 8,000 per year. The General Aviation Terminal also offers passengers direct access to aircraft with dedicated security control, reserved waiting areas, conference halls and catering. A full range of services are also on offer for aircraft and crews, such as pilots’ rooms, changing rooms and single bedrooms for aircraft personnel to rest.
